TSUBASA For Kumite (Fully Tailored) Dogi
Introducing the Hirota Tsubasa (翼）meaning wings, Ultra lightweight dogi. A new type of material designed for ultra-fast, ultra-mobile kumite action. Hirota have designed this dogi to surpass any ultra lightweight dogi to provide the Japanese national team with the best dogi for the job. Using the latest technology, they have woven the material with dimples on the inside surface to reduce sticking to skin.
The material has also been woven to allow for around 5% stretch for even better ease of movement.
This dogi is only available fully tailor-made, so there is no extra cost for alterations or tailoring.
You will need to provide the measurements you want.
For selecting the base size, please select the smallest size in which all your measurements fit into. (see here)Please note that on this dogi, name embroidery will go through the lapel rather than being only on one side, because of the thinness of the material.

I have bought two of these Hirota Tsubasa gi. They are so good I am about to buy my third. The last one I bought was 6 years ago (I train 3-5 times per week) so they definitely last the distance. And I don't even HAVE to buy another. I only am so I have a spare. I also have a Hirota Takumi for kata I bought 7 years ago. That one is amazing, too. It's not even close to needing a replacement. As a short, slightly overweight individual, standard gi do not fit me very well. The custom sizing Hirota offer is fantastic. Especially how much customisation is allowed. Having perfectly fitting gi really does help me enjoy karate more.
