Whether you're a beginner, or you're just in a hot place, this is a very good dogi for those two things. I sweat a lot during classes, and it holds up pretty well. The only down side in my experience is the fact that since it's so light, the uwagi hem tends to fold inward. This can get pretty irritating so beware, other then that, very comfortable and nice gi.
